Aimed to be a multi-purpose identification card, the GBS Privelege Card bears the member’s picture and signature.

The Goodwill Bookstore Privilege Card is a combination discount and membership card. It entitles the holder to discounts on various items and, at the same time, gives him the chance to avail of privileges exclusive to card holders. The GBS Privilege Card is non-transferable.

GBS Privilege Card holders are given 5% discounts on non-book items (school and office supplies, toys and novelties), local reprints of JMC Press Inc. and Goodwill Bookstore, and imported textbooks, and a 10% discount on imported trade books, pocketbooks and reference books.

Aside from these discounts, cardholders may avail themselves of special offers in the GBS-PC Members' Corner where seasonal items are sold at family-friendly prices.

To avail of these perks, cardholders must present their GBS Privilege Card to store cashiers or to the GBS-PC Coordinators for verification and recording purposes.

Discount Exclusions

Discounts are not given on the following instances:

a) Purchases of items on special sale, whether Goodwill Bookstore is conducting the sales on its own, or by special arrangement with any publisher or any other party, such as mall management or fair organizers.
In this case, only discounts given on suggested retail prices under the special sale should apply, whether or not these are higher or lower than the discounts offered by the GBS Privilege Card.

b) Items purchased using GBS Gift Certificates or with the use of any credit card honored by Goodwill Bookstore.

c) Publications of other publishing houses (also known as outside publications) when these are sold by Goodwill Bookstore. These include all publications and local reprints of any book and other published material by local publishers other than Goodwill Bookstore.

Membership Fees

A membership fee of one hundred fifty pesos (Php 150.00) for the Privilege Card Plus and seventy-five pesos (Php 75.00) for students shall be charged. Students should present a valid school ID upon application to avail of the student rate. An applicant may claim his card after two (2) weeks from application date at the branch he had submitted his application form. Once the GBS-PC is available, the new member must present his claim slip to claim his card.

Card Validity

The GBS Privilege Card is valid for two (2) years and may be renewed upon expiry.

Lost Cards

Lost cards will be treated as lost cash. Cardholders are requested to re-apply for a new card at any Goodwill Bookstore branch.

Goodwill Bookstore reserves the right to amend any of its Privilege Card rules without prior notice.

Goodwill Bookstore shall have the right to cancel, modify or restrict the privileges at any time in case the cardholder commits any act of fraud, abuse, non-observance of the terms and conditions or any other act prejudicial to the company. Its failure to enforce any of the provisions shall not be considered as waiver of stipulations.
